Oscar-winner James Cagney ("Yankee Doodle Dandy," "White Heat") stars as a dentist in turn-of-the-century Brooklyn who marries out of spite when his childhood sweetheart is betrothed to his rival. Believing he married the wrong woman, he changes his mind when he discovers his true feelings for his wife. Outstanding cast includes Oscar-winner Olivia De Havilland ("Gone With the Wind," "The Adventures of Robin Hood") and Rita Hayworth ("Gilda," "You'll Never Get Rich").

**Please be aware that this is a manufactured on demand disc that was created using a DVD-R disc. It should play in all standard DVD players.

        Comments about this product:

(This is for the movie I own on VHS) If you like turn of the century Americana and movies like The Music Man, The Matchmaker and Hello, Dolly!, you will most likely love this movie. It's fluff but very well made and acted fluff and all entertainment. There is one song sang with the term "Darkie" in it (no censoring, this is the actual lyrics of the famous song) but outside that and it not being as "realistic" as the movie Ragtime, it's a fantastic love letter to the time period with some great performances. This is one of my personal favorites.
