Lloyd Bridges learns that the lust for gold can lead to death, in "The Tall Texan" (1953). In this classic Western, Bridges plays a convict heading for prison who manages to convince his captors to go gold prospecting with him, instead. The group finds gold in an old Indian burial ground, which angers the local Native Americans and turns the prospectors hunt for gold into a battle for survival. Co-starring Lee J. Cobb, Marie Windsor and Luther Adler.
