Great collection of British theatre

By Taminar

from Pensacola, FL

Comments about this product:

I enjoyed all four of the programs in this set. They are filmed versions of stage shows, and they feature some of the best Shakespearean actors of the age. "Macbeth" in particular is very sparse in setting, which lets the acting really shine. "Romeo and Juliet" is the best version of the play I've seen to date. "Twelfth Night" is quiet enjoyable. "King Lear" is long, but it's very well done also. I recommend this for fans of the Bard, students, teachers, and followers of any of the actors and directors involved in the productions.

Good Quality Theatre

By AliKira

Comments about this product:

Definitely worth watching. These theatre based expressions of Shakespeare's work are brought to television using only the best lighting and camera angles to adapt the work to the medium of television. At the same time, they do not constrain the work with special effects but stick with the brilliance of good acting and quality direction. The emotion conveyed on stage makes Shakespeare come alive!

Comments about this product:

Good value for the money. I've seen better versions of 12th Night, but still enjoyed it.
