Set in a dilapidated Boston tavern in 1828, Eugene O'Neill's play stars Fritz Weaver as "Con" Melody, an Irishman struggling with mistakes made in his past who still sees himself as an English gentleman, despite his dire financial status. Loved by long-suffering wife Nora, Melody is at the same time in conflict with daughter Sara, who wants him to see the world as it is.
