Fans of old time radio will know the names Lum and Abner. As owners of the rural Jot-Em-Down Store in Pine Bluff Arkansas, Lum and Abner seem to get their hands in everyone's business. Played by beloved radio stars Chester Lauck and Norris Goff, the boys' film adventure has them traveling to Chicago to collect on an inheritance. Thanks to a medical exam mix-up, Abner now thinks he only has two weeks to live but that's plenty of time to tussle with a Nazi spy ring and sign up for a rocket trip to Mars. Perhaps a bit corny at times, but always delightful fun for the whole family.
