The Mexican Revolution is given the star treatment in this wild, enthralling western. Yul Brynner plays Pancho Villa, the heroic general, and Charles Bronson is Fierro, his vicious assistant. Robert Mitchum plays Lee Arnold, an American gun runner who is caught by Villa, but manages to talk his way out of being shot, and agrees to fly missions for the general. Herbert Lom is General Huerta, who sends Villa on a suicide mission, hoping to rid himself of his rival. When that fails, Villa and Arnold team up to take on Huerta, who has seized power of Mexico. Legendary writer and director Sam Peckinpah wrote the original draft of the script.
