    As a child I lived very close to an RAF fighter station in Sussex in World War 2. This movie realistically and emotionally captures the sentiments that prevailed in communities close to RAF stations close enough to experience frequent German air attacks in 1940 and '41 and the joy when the Americans came in to help us. I know from personal experience
