Description
This fantastic and haunting noir DVD features an incredible crime double feature. "Where Danger Lives" (1950) is a story of an affair gone wrong. A man played by Robert Mitchum finds himself smitten with a conniving and already married woman, played by Faith Domergue. He has the misfortune of encountering her husband, but when her hubby winds up dead there's only one place to go: Mexico. They may think that they're making their way to freedom, but ahead is possibly a dangerous dead end. "Tension" (1949) focuses on a man's plot for revenge against his two-timing spouse. It is a bitter tale, and while the man moves forward with his plan he is only met with unexpected twists.

    Comments about this product:

This double feature DVD is a great addition to your noir library, although Where Danger Lives is the weaker, lukewarm film of the two features. It lacks conviction and any thriller appeal and Robert Mitchum's talent is wasted here. On the other hand, Tension offers a gripping plot and good dialogue. And as the name suggests, tension in the storyline. Great performances by Richard Basehart and Cyd Charisse.
