Will Rogers' final four films, all released in 1935, are included in this four-disc set. In "Life Begins at Forty," Rogers is the editor of a small-town newspaper who goes up against a wealthy and powerful banker and local politician who plans to frame a young ex-con. Rogers stars as a riverboat doctor/showman who winds up in a steamboat race while trying to save his wrongly accused nephew from the hangman's noose, in "Steamboat 'Round the Bend." With Irvin S. "Doubting Thomas" finds Rogers as a businessman who is less than thrilled to learn that wife Billie Burke is joining the town amateur theatrical company.
