Description
Nobody knew how to create a spectacular show-stopping number better than Busby Berkeley, and "Ziegfeld Girl" (1941) is a tuneful extravaganza that certainly contains plenty of sparkling mouth-droppers. Lana Turner, Hedy Lamarr and Judy Garland all dream of becoming a Ziegfeld girl in this high-kicking entertainment. Charles Winninger, Jackie Cooper, James Stewart, Philip Dorn, Eve Arden and Mae Busch are all along to see if the girls' wishes comes true. "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" and "You Stepped Out of a Dream," are only a few of the fabulous ditties you'll be whistling by the time "Ziegfeld Girl" is through!

        Comments about this product:

For old movie buffs and lovers of music and dance this takes you back to a time where extravagant in dress and presentation were common. Maybe not reality in story line but sit back and love the singing and dancing and old timers that you haven't seen for many years.

          Comments about this product:

The previous reviewer - there's an overstatement, was upset because it wasn't in colour, and you made an error and said it was. So what? It was made in the age of black and white - colour was too expensive and a war was going on. But the numbers are fantastic - "You Stepped Out of a Dream" is a phenomenal piece of film genius, and other songs make us forget the underuse of James Stewart. Lana Turner is not a good actress, but at least she tries here and no one, really, no one could have made that part work. Hedy has never been lovelier. And Garland, well,, she proves that she is going to be worth every moment of screen magic that MGM has in store for her.

your online description for this item clearly states color. package clearly states color, this is a black/white film. Very misleading.
