Acclaimed theater director Peter Hall presents the comic opera Albert Herring (1985), the story of a nave greengrocer who is made the local May King when no innocent girls can be found. Presented at the Glyndebourne theater with the music performed bythe London Philharmonic Orchestra and featuring a talented British cast, Hall masterfully directs a quaint and nostalgic look into the life of East Suffolk at the turn of the 20th century, following the poor grocer as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery. With performances by John-Graham Hall, Patricia Johnson and Felicity Palmer.
