Lively musical is set in an early 20th-century boarding house where a painter (James Ellison) and a composer (William Marshall) become romantic rivals for a girl (Jane Frazee). The painter's portrait of the young lady gets her an opportunity to star in a Broadway production, but the composer's influence in her life is not yet finished.
