You certainly won't get the blues from this musical adventure, though you might groove to the soundtrack by Ry Cooder and Eugene Martone. In "Crossroads" (1986), Ralph Macchio plays a musical prodigy studying at New York City's Julliard School, who becomes devoted to the music of the Mississippi Delta. He goes on a journey to find a famous blues man, played by Joe Seneca, who in turn wants to use the boy to reclaim his soul from the Devil. This contest-winning script by John Fusco is a modern retelling ofthe Faust story with wickedly good tunes.
