Before he became famous for portraying Fuzzy Q. Jones in countless westerns of the 1930s and '40s, Al St. John starred in these (mostly) silent short films. First, in "Fatty and Mabel's Simple Life" (1915), he makes a play for Mabel Normand...even though she's already married to Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle (who happens to be John's real-life uncle). Then, St. John clashes with Arbuckle at "The Waiter's Ball" (1916). Then, Al is a "Stupid, But Brave" (1926) hobo. Co-stars Eugene Pallette. Lastly, the talkie "Bridge Wives" (1932) has Al overwhelmed by his wife's obsession with card-playing. 69 min. total. Standard; Soundtracks: English, music score. Silent with music score. Plays All Regions.
