Swedish director Fredrik Edfeldt delivers this quiet study of adolescence and loneliness, starring Blanca Engstrom. Set in 1981, it tells the story of 9-year-old Engstrom, whose parents have left her in the care of an aunt while they travel to Africa forthe summer. Left to her own devices on her aunt's large farm, the girl spends her time in solitude, exploring the property as she attempts to make sense of her new circumstances and the world around her. Eventually, she strikes up a friendship with a young boy her own age, who joins her on her explorations as they uncover whatever secrets the farm has to offer.
