A trio of college roomies (James Marsden, Lena Headey, Norman Reedus), for their final project in "Communication Studies," decide to start a salacious date-rape rumor about a couple of classmates (Kate Hudson, Joshua Jackson) and track it to see how far it will go. They might’ve wished they stuck with term papers when their plan backfires and threatens to destroy the lives of all involved.
