Randall Miller's "Houseguest" (1995) is a rib-tickling comedy that stars Sinbad as Kevin Franklin, a con-man who owes a huge debt to the mob. While escaping two of the mob's thugs, he runs into Phil Hartman's Gary Young, who awaits a friend he hasn't seenin 25 years. Franklin immediately begins to pose as the friend, and follows Hartman to his house in an affluent Pennsylvania neighborhood. With time, and quick-thinking talk, he gains the householders' affection and trust, only to be laid low by the arrival of the thugs.
