The B movies of the 1930s were colored by the recent Great Depression, and "I Can't Escape" (1934) is typical of that fare. This is a redemption story starring Onslow Stevens as an ex-convict who was jailed for a shady stock transaction, but whose sins aren't as bad as they might appear. Co-starring '30s film veterans Lila Lee, Otis Harlan and Clara Kimball Young.
