With the grind of the road getting to him, aging, depressed musician Antoine (Gustave Kernen) walks out on his band. His hunt for some other gainful employment leads him to an older apartment building in need of a super...and an easily agitated landlady (Catherine Deneuve) whose hold on sanity may be slipping.
