Renowned director David Lynch of "Blue Velvet" (1986) and "Wild at Heart" (1990) fametakes another stab at psychological drama with "Lost Highway" (1997), starring Bill Pullman as a jazz saxophonist convicted of killing his wife (Rosanna Arquette). Lynchand co-writer Barry Gifford's neo-noir surrealism weaves a second plot involving Pullman's character waking up as a handsome, young mechanic (Balthazar Getty) involved in a passionate affair with a client's girlfriend (also played by Arquette). The audience is then left to piece the cinematic puzzle together, but along the way they're treated to Lynch's provocative and legendary storytelling.
