Mister Universe

Bodybuilding champ Tommy Tomkins (Vince Edwards, in his starring film debut), with help from pal Jeff (Jack Carson), turns his Mr. Universe into a pro wrestling career. But when honest Tommy refuses to (gasp!) throw matches, he'll have to bodyslam some angry mobsters. Bert Lahr, Janis Paige, and such real-life grapplers as Chief Flying Mare and The Hoboken Turk co-star in this offbeat comedy; look for an uncredited Joan Rivers as a teenage fan. 85 min.
