Buying a "get out of jail free card" has never been so easy. In "Parole, Inc." (1948), a low-budget film noir drama, a number of paroles are granted to dangerous career criminals. That makes the California governor and state attorney general suspect corruption in the state parole board. Michael O'Shea plays government agent Richard Hendricks, who goes undercover to get the goods on a gang responsible for dispensing those illegal paroles. Posing as a prisoner, Hendricks links up with the gang's inside man,Barney Rodescu, who is played by Turhan Bey. Does our hero crack the case?
