Imagine if Shakespeare's hilarious "The Taming Of The Shrew" was a 1940s Western, and you've got the right idea about "Song of Nevada" (1944). Box office favorite Roy Rogers plays cowboy hired by a millionaire to teach his headstrong daughter some manners. The daughter, played spiritedly by Dale Evans, plans to marry a man her father doesn't approve of and take over the ranch while she's at it. It's a downright silly and pleasing 1940s horse opera featuring ever-popular prairie tunes like "A Cowboy Has ToYodel In The Morning" and "New Moon Over Nevada."
