Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks Sr. were two of the biggest stars of the 1910s and 1920s. The real-life married couple made their mark in the silents, but at the advent of sound film, co-starred together in a talkie version of William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" (1929), in which fortune-hunter Petruchio (Fairbanks) seeks to marry the biggest shrew in town - the fiery Katherine (Pickford). A rarely seen gem from two film legends. Co-starring Dorothy Jordan and Edwin Maxwell, this DVD also contains a documentary on Pickford, "The Birth of a Legend."
