A delightful comedy starring Jay Baruchel, "The Trotsky" (2009) tells the story of a privileged teenage boy who discovers that his birth name is actually that of the celebrated Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky, and starts to believe that he is Trotsky'sreincarnation. When Leon's father has his son work part-time at the family factory, Leon quickly gathers the workers and has them perform a sit-down strike. As punishment, his parents send him to public school, where Leon fights against the fascist principal and a detention-happy teacher. But when he meets a beautiful girl named Alexandra, who name is the same as Trotsky's true love, he must decide if his principles are more important than his heart.
