Jack Oakie ("Million Dollar Legs," 1932) plays it straight in this humane romantic drama from director Victor Schirtzinger (1941's "The Road to Zanzibar") and writer Vina Delmar ("The Awful Truth," 1937). He stars as a salesman who marries the love of hislife knowing she's on the rebound from shallow doctor Leon Ames. When the Mrs. is hit by a car, Oakie gets in trouble with the law to pay for Ames to operate on her, even at the risk of her going back to the man.
