Israeli filmmaker Ari Folman employs a unique animated style in this innovative documentary that recalls his military service in the early 1980s. When he talks to a friend with whom he served during the invasion of Lebanon, Folman realizes he has very little memory of those days. Interviewing various friends and compatriots, he uses cartoon images to re-create their stories in an effort to help him remember his own experiences. 90 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: Hebrew Dolby Digital 5.1, English Dolby Digital 5.1; Subtitles: English; audio commentary; featurettes. In Hebrew with English subtitles/Dubbed in English.
