Laconic ex-soldier Meinhard (Meinhard Neumann) was a latecomer to a German construction crew tasked with building a power plant in the Bulgarian countryside. His sure and steady hand, however, may not be enough to ease the escalating tensions brewing between his boorish compatriots and an immediately distrustful local community.
