A young woman grapples with her own budding sexuality amidst a crisis of faith in this insightful coming-of-age drama from Denmark. Rosalinde Mynster is Sara, a 17-year-old girl from a devoutly observant family of Jehovah's Witnesses. Tensions begin to mount within the family unit, however, when her father's extramarital affair creates a rift between Sara's parents. Sara's commitment to her religion is tested further when she meets a secular young man and soon finds herself tempted to give in to the desires forbidden by her faith. With both her father and the church elders insisting that she break all contact with the young man, Sara finds herself faced with a choice that will affect the rest of her young life.
